Auricular Acupuncture (AAc) is an ancient Oriental therapy using acupuncture on points of the ear to treat specific parts of the body. The College of Auricular Acupuncture (TCAAc) is the dedicated training arm for members of The Society of Auricular Acupuncturists (SAAc). The College offers a Diploma in Auricular Acupuncture which is made up of three modules: Module I is a specialised programme for treating substance misuse. Individuals successfully completing the course may practise as detoxification practitioners. This is a very popular course for individuals working in the public or private sector. Module II trains practitioners to treat a wide range of conditions and broadens their skills and ability further, allowing them to practise as Advanced Practitioners. Module III completes the comprehensive training programme. Individuals successfully completing this module are qualified to treat a variety of conditions using either needles or electro-acupuncture techniques.
